We love our beards, and will do just about anything to provide them with whatever they might need to continue to grow long and live forever. But what happens if what we do in good turns out to be bad? Let's take a look at 4 Signs That You Might Be Caring For Your Beard Incorrectly...
Sadly split ends are pretty inevitable, and no matter what precautions we might make they are almost impossible to stop completely, although you can minimise them fairly easily.
If you're experiencing a sudden increase in the amount of split ends you are finding within your beard, one of the following are likely to be the more obvious culprit to the problem.
Using hair dryers and hair straighteners within your beard. I've stressed my concerns about these contraptions in the past, as choosing to use such items upon your beard runs a very high risk of damaging your facial hair.
This simply happens because these devices were never made with your beard in mind, therefore your poor face forest takes the brunt of intense heat from them which often lead to split ends.
Another trap we all fall into is over-combing our furry faces. This often loosens up beard hairs which can lead to damaging our hair, making higher numbers fall from our faces rather than detangle and maintaining them, which is, of course, why we comb our beards in the first place.
Beard dandruff 'Beardruff' is ugly, unsightly and a real pain the ass to shift. Although if you're experiencing a sudden spike in 'beardruff' this is probably caused by something you are doing incorrectly.
The most common cause is usually caused by using the wrong products in our beards. If you save a penny buying a poor quality beard oil that won't help you any long-term. Or choosing to use standard over the counter shampoos and conditioners will also impact on this, heightening the dandruff produced upon your face.
Instead, we recommend you only use a beard wash and conditioner that is specifically created for the use of beards. This will also counteract any beard dandruff you may already have, safely removing it in the process.
There's only one reason your beard may be dry and brittle, and that's due to lack of hydration forming within your beard and upon your face hidden away below.
It's one of the most common misconceptions that beards do just fine on their own, and that they don't really need all these beard oils and balms that are readily available on the market.
In truth, our face fuzz heavily relies on you to care for it, and you can do this by treating yourself to some 'TBS' premium beard oil to help protect your beard from drying out and causing a whole host of problems you'll have to contend with later on down the line. So, wisely invest in some premium oils and balms as soon as possible, Brother.
